This 4-day tour combines the thrill of gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with exciting wildlife encounters in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will enjoy scenic drives across Uganda’s countryside, spot tree-climbing lions, zebras, Uganda kobs, elephants, and end with a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with the mountain gorillas.


Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe – Transfer to Kampala

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional safari guide. You will then transfer to your hotel in Kampala, where you will check in and relax. Later in the evening, your guide will take you through a briefing session about the safari itinerary, expectations, and important travel guidelines. Dinner and overnight will be at your booked hotel in Kampala.

Day 2: Kampala – Queen Elizabeth National Park via Equator & Mbarara

After an early breakfast, you will depart Kampala for Queen Elizabeth National Park, one of Uganda’s most popular and diverse wildlife destinations. Along the way, you will stop at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe for memorable photos, stretching, and refreshments. As you drive further, expect to see zebras, Uganda kobs, and the beautiful Ankole cattle.

You will have a buffet lunch at Agip Motel in Mbarara, before continuing through the scenic Ankole cattle corridor. On arrival at the park, keep an eye out for elephants, antelopes, and warthogs crossing the road as you approach your lodge.

At the lodge, you will be welcomed with a refreshing glass of juice, check in, and relax. Enjoy your evening on the veranda listening to the sounds of nature, with views of elephants, warthogs, and other wildlife grazing nearby.

Day 3: Ishasha Tree-Climbing Lions – Transfer to Bwindi

Your day starts early with breakfast at 5:00–5:30 am, followed by a drive to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This area is famous for its rare tree-climbing lions, often seen lazily resting in fig trees. Along the way, you may also spot elephants, buffaloes, and topis.

After this unique experience, you will proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. On arrival, you may choose to participate in optional community and cultural activities such as the Batwa cultural experience, visits to local schools or orphan projects, or guided birdwatching.

Later, you will return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation in preparation for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking – Return to Kampala/Entebbe

This is the highlight of your safari! After an early breakfast at 5:30 am, you will transfer to the Bwindi Visitor Information Centre for a briefing at 6:40 am. Here, Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers will take you through the rules and guidelines of gorilla trekking.

You will then set off on a guided trek through the dense rainforest in search of a mountain gorilla family. The trek can last between 2–6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Once located, you will spend an unforgettable one hour observing their behavior, taking photos, and experiencing this rare wildlife encounter.

After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch before starting the journey back to Kampala or Entebbe. Along the way, you may stop at the Equator for last-minute souvenirs. You will then be dropped off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport for your flight.
