In practice, to acquire nationality at birth the parents must also be Tanzanian, or the parents must be unknown, as in the case of an abandoned child. A person born outside Tanzania enjoys a right to Tanzanian nationality from birth provided that at least one parent is a Tanzanian by birth or naturalization.

Climate

Tanzania has a generally comfortable climate year-round, although there are significant regional variations. The tropical coast stays quite hot and humid with heavy and reliable rainfall, especially during the rainy season. The central plateau is cooler and arid.

Culture
